An experimental investigation was conducted to study the post-erosion shear modulus of gap-graded soil under principal stress rotation (PSR). After a whole cycle, induced post-erosion shear strain is increased while axial strain decreased due to seepage flow accompanied by fine removal. The reduction of the small strain shear modulus might be due to the inefficacy of the reinforced soil skeleton established by the erosion against shear loading.
