[CS2-08]COMPARATIVE SUSTAINABILITY EVALUATION OF MODIFIED BITUMINOUS MIXES USING DESIRABILITY FUNCTION ANALYSIS

This research focuses on quantifying and comparing sustainability improvements of various modified bituminous mixes that claim to negate the environmental impacts of conventional Asphalt Concrete (AC). The study used tools such as Life Cycle analysis studies, indicators and desirability analysis to realise it's objective.The results showed that the mixes outperfromed conventional mixes in terms of improving different scopes of sustainabilty as well as the rank in which they do so. This therefore emphasises the concept of material modification for improved pavement sustainability.
