[CS2-10]SEISMIC VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF COMPLEX HIGHWAY BRIDGE STRUCTURE USING SYSTEM FRAGILITY CURVES

This study deals with the probabilistic seismic vulnerability assessment of an existing complex bridge structure. The traditional approach of using the single fragile component for fragility estimation led to the significant error in fragility estimation. To overcome this problem, the response of all the vulnerable components must be taken into consideration. For this purpose, a detail analytical modeling of a testbed structure was carried out. The results shows that the bridge system is more fragile than any of the single component. Following this framework may help to reduce the error in system vulnerability quantification.
