Writing English research papers is a difficult task for Japanese professionals. Although many therapists do not write full papers in English, abstracts in English are often required for papers written in Japanese. Therefore, basic knowledge of writing and thinking in scientific English will be presented. Several examples of English abstracts written by Japanese therapists that were submitted beforehand will be presented along with the corrected versions. Many abstracts are often submitted to companies to be translated at a fee, but the researcher should be able to confirm that the translation is accurate. Following the presentation, the attendees will form groups and attempt to correct an abstract that will be provided before the session to facilitate active and interesting discussions. General discussions will also be conducted to promote an easy approach to thinking in English.
