[ALPS10-02]Single-Mode Distributed Feedback Lasing Based on a Uniform Grating and Auxiliary Passive Waveguide

We present a single-mode DFB lasing mechanism exhibiting gain margin and power flatness superior to the λ/4-shifted DFB laser, enabled by offsetting direct- and exchange-Bragg photonic bandgaps of a uniform grating.
