本研究では,美浜2号と敦賀1号の監視試験片二種類についてアトムプローブ（APT）分析を行い、ミクロ組織分析を実施した。二種類の監視試験片でCu, Ni, Si, Mn, Pが集中したCuリッチクラスタが観察され、Pが直線上に偏析している部分も確認された。
