Microstructural analysis and deuterium permeation measurements for yttrium oxide coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering have been performed as a study on tritium permeation barrier in fusion fuel systems. Irradiation effect on permeation has been also investigated with iron-ion irradiated coatings.
