[1C07]In-situ ion beam graft polymerization and heavy ion irradiation on the polycarbonate samples

We have studied on the radiation induced graft polymerization with the ion beam. In the previous study, a polyethylene sample was irradiated by an ion beam introducing a monomer to the vacuum chamber, and in-situ graft polymerization was conducted. A conductive part was able to introduce into the polycarbonate sample from the irradiation of a heavy ion. From combination of the two methods, a functional polymer device is made on a polycarbonate sample. In this presentation the preliminary experimental results will be reported.
