The inactive test for simulated filter sludge and simulated ion exchange resin were conducted to confirm the applicability of SIAL, which is a geopolymer as a solidification material to radioactive waste generated during the operation of nuclear power plants. As a result, it was confirmed that high waste loading ratio, good compressive strength and good dissolution characteristics could be achieved in solidifying the mentioned above waste with SIAL.
