A reasonable method is investigated to set radionuclide transport parameters in the modelling estimation method of the radionuclide inventory in wastes generated at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, considering grouping of radioelements and position of sampling of wastes and contaminants. It is expected that the method will improve the accuracy of the inventory of dominant radionuclides in the safety assessment of waste disposal. Some technical issues are suggested for the waste characterization project.
