[1I_PL02]DNA damage calculation using PHITSChallenge from macroscopic to microscopic simulations
*Tatsuhiko Sato1 (1. JAEA)
In recent years, radiation therapy using quantum beams from accelerators has become more familiar with the widespread use of particle therapy and accelerator BNCT.
A systematic understanding of the physical effects, biological changes and chemical reactions induced in cells and DNA/in vivo/ by quantum beam irradiation is therefore becoming increasingly important. In this session, three leading scientists conducting cutting-edge experimental and simulation research in the field of quantum beam induced biosystems will give talks.
