CERNのCHARM施設において、24 GeV陽子を銅ターゲットに照射し生成した中性子が鋼鉄とコンクリートの遮蔽体を透過した後のスペクトルを液体シンチレータとボナー球スペクトロメータを用いて測定した。遮蔽体とその厚さを変えた場合の2つの測定法による結果を比較した。
