Using the visibility analysis function of the geographic information software ArcGIS, we conducted an elaboration of the evaluation of thermal radiation effect from wildfire flames by considering the shielding of thermal radiation by topography. This study applied the visibility analysis to determine whether the thermal radiation from the flame reaches the evaluation target location or not.
