In this experiment, we focused on the migration behavior of uranium in bentonite in the presence of carbonic acid and conducted diffusion tests using bentonite dry density and diffusion period as parameters. Uranium showed filtering behavior, but this tendency was smaller than that of neptunium. This could be because uranium carbonate complexes are uncharged and not subject to anion exclusion.
