現在日本の研究施設では、不純物の混入等により使用方針が明確でない研究開発用の核燃料物質(ウランやプルトニウム)が存在する。これらを長期間安定に貯蔵するため、安定固化する必要がある。本研究ではウランと、プルトニウムの模擬としてセリウムを使用して、天然に存在する鉱物であるブラネライト化することで安定化することを目指す。また、浸漬試験を行うことで合成したブラネライトの化学的安定性を評価する。
