Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 was the first BWR plant in Japan to resume operation following the Great East Japan Earthquake. This report presents the preliminary evaluation from the perspective of water quality control for restart after a long-term shutdown and outlines the water quality assessment policy at the time of restart as well as the operational results.
