PVA-KI gel is a chemical dosimeter that utilizes the complex formation between the acetate group of partially saponified PVA and polyiodine (I3-), which is generated by irradiation of potassium iodide (KI) in the gel. In this study, we focused on the formation of polyiodine (I3-), and determined the G value for the complex formation based on the results of UV-visible absorbance measurements to examine the reaction of PVA-KI gel.
