In order to understand the oxidation behavior of metal Zr contained in fuel debri, the oxidation experiment of oxygen-dissolved Zr power was examined with TG-DTA. No definite differences appeared in the oxidation behavior between the oxygen-dissolved Zr and no oxygen Zr. Consequently, the oxygen dissolution into Zr would have no serious effects on the ignition risk of Zr.
