Based on the context that boric acid inhibits cement solidification, the influence of boric acid on cement hydration was investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was clarified that boric acid delays cement hydration in the initial stages and affects the phase composition of calcium aluminate hydrates at long curing ages.
