Although AI technology has been rapidly spreading in recent years, it has not yet been applied to systems and equipment directly related to safety, such as the operation, monitoring, control, and protection of nuclear power plants.
On the other hand, AI technology is being increasingly used in peripheral tasks, such as piping design work, preventive maintenance work including abnormality sign diagnosis, and information analysis, with the aim of improving work efficiency and quality, and various developments are underway.
In this session, research institutes, manufacturers, and electric power companies will introduce the development status and application examples of AI technology related to the operation, management, and maintenance of nuclear power plants.
