To demonstrate the stabilization process using the moist carbon dioxide method during the dismantling of the secondary maintenance cooling system of Monju, we developed a sodium stabilization treatment device employing this method. The device consists of a supply unit that delivers carbon dioxide gas containing moisture, a measurement system that monitors the progress of stabilization by measuring parameters such as gas temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration, and hydrogen concentration, and a hydrogen treatment unit that processes hydrogen generated during stabilization. This report provides an overview of the sodium stabilization treatment device designed for the secondary maintenance cooling system using the moist carbon dioxide method.
