International organizations operate frameworks for collecting, analyzing, and sharing lessons from safety-related events at nuclear facilities. Through systems such as the IAEA’s IRS, Member States report events and exchange operating experience. Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) reviews domestic and international operating experience, including IRS information, and integrates the insights into regulatory inspections and efforts to enhance nuclear safety.
