本研究では、生体内の免疫機構に深く関連のあるサイトカインの検出に向け、糖鎖高分子を分子認識素子としたバイオセンサーを開発した。センサーチップ表面に修飾された糖鎖高分子ブラシ膜は、高分子の設計によって異なる構造を示し、検出感度の向上に効果的であることが示された。本研究において、糖鎖高分子では未知であったサイトカイン検出が初めて達成され、糖鎖高分子ブラシの設計指針を明らかにした。
