Enzymes are pivotal components of most physiological processes and are consequently involved in various pathologies. Therefore, high-resolution mapping of enzyme activities in three-dimensional space is a powerful tool for elucidating the causes of a range of diseases.
The goal of this work is the rational design of activity-based fluorescence probes compatible with tissue clearing aiming for high-resolution 3D mapping of enzymatic activity.
