人工核酸は生体因子との結合や機能制御など多様な特性を示す機能分子として駆動する。しかしそのほとんどは細胞質か細胞外で駆動するため、その用途は限定的である。そこで本研究では人工核酸の細胞核送達を目的に、DNAの末端にHoechst分子を修飾した人工核酸(Hoechst-DNA)を合成した。実際にHoechst-DNAを細胞内へ導入すると、Hoechst-DNAが細胞核へ蓄積していることが示唆された。
