[TuA4-02 Invited]Organic transistors: From thin films to electrochemical to bioelectronic

Organic semiconductors offer unique opportunities for low-power, flexible electronics and biointegrated devices. This work presents hybrid gate dielectrics combining ultrathin aluminum oxide and self-assembled monolayers to achieve low-voltage operation and low leakage in organic thin-film transistors. In parallel, conducting polymer systems such as PEDOT:PSS are explored for bioelectronic applications, enabling mixed ionic–electronic signal transduction. A novel 3D microporous scaffold device is introduced, supporting multicellular tissue models while providing real-time electrical monitoring. Together, these approaches bridge flexible electronics and advanced in vitro bioelectronic platforms.
