We investigated the inter-dot spacing dependence of radiative lifetime and wavefunction analysis in two stacked quantum dots. Using TCSPC for samples with inter-dot spacings of 3,7 and 10nm, the longest radiative lifetime was observed at 7nm. To clarify this behavior, we calculated the electron and hole wavefunctions by solving 2D Schrödinger equation and evaluated overlap integrals. Among the experimentally measured spacings, the overlap integral is the smallest for 7nm. This is consistent with the observed radiative lifetime results.
