[Poster 1-15]A data integration framework for procedural 3D models for the digital twins of the coastal ecosystems

Coastal habitats are highly dynamic interfaces where terrestrial and marine processes intersect, making them challenging to monitor and manage. Coastal digital twins—virtual counterparts that mirror real-world states—offer a transformative approach, yet their creation depends on the effective fusion of diverse and inconsistent datasets. This study presents a comprehensive data integration framework designed to aggregate multi-source coastal data and drive the procedural 3D models for a high-fidelity, species-level digital twin. We utilize existing ecological scenes and established ecological process algorithms to drive procedural systems that replicate integrated phenological life-history events in synchrony with environmental triggers. These control procedural geometry updates, enabling users to witness detailed ecological processes. The entire visualization accurately mirrors the documented phenological patterns. The core advance lies in establishing a high-fidelity foundation of a species-level asset library. This framework provides a reusable blueprint for constructing science-grade digital twins of coastal habitats, enabling quantitative habitat assessment, scenario simulation, and immersive visualization for conservation and management.
