日本は2013年から成長戦略の柱の１つとして「すべての女性が輝く社会」の実現を目指してきました。現在、自身の個性や能力を発揮したいと望む女性の支援や取り組みを通じて、男女の雇用格差、家庭と仕事の両立などの課題が認識されつつあります。その一方で、月経、妊娠・出産、更年期障害といった女性ならではの健康問題については、社会的な認識が低く、未だ考慮されていない現状があります。女性自身、これらの問題は自ら解決するものという考えが根強く、解決策が見つからないまま悩み続ける女性が少なくありません。実際に、経産省の調査では、女性労働者の約半数が、女性特有の健康問題により職場で困った経験があると回答しており、離職や昇進辞退の原因の１つとなっています。本企画セッションは、このような女性の健康問題解決に向けた研究に従事し、ご活躍されている様々な分野の先生方を数名お招きし、男性だけでなく、女性自身も知る機会が少なかった女性の健康問題についてご講演頂く予定です。本セッションを通じて、少しでも多くの方に女性の健康問題を知ってもらえればと思っております。
