Chair:YUJI OISHI(Hitachi Ltd.), Nishiyama Kota(NTT, Inc.)
With the expansion of applications requiring high precision, reliability, real-time performance, and distributed processing- such as 5G/Beyond 5G, the growth of AI and machine learning, increasing demand for data centers, and advanced mobility like IoT and autonomous vehicles - the importance of time and frequency synchronization has never been greater. This talk will begin with an overview of current mainstream synchronization technologies such as PTP and SyncE, and then explore the latest trends in next-generation synchronization networks. It will also address the transformative potential of integrating emerging clock technologies, and offer insights into the future implementation of sustainable, ultra-precise, and highly reliable synchronization infrastructure.
