The fundamental purpose of a paper is to logically build up an argument in order to lead the reader to the paper's conclusion. However, writing such a paper is difficult, and improving one's paper-writing skills requires a certain amount of time and continuous effort in writing guidance. To help members gain a broad and deep understanding of how to write papers, the Communications Society has been holding a 'Paper Writing Workshop' in conjunction with its annual conference since March 2009. Due to the many requests from participants for the workshop to be held on an ongoing basis, we have decided to hold the 'Paper Writing Workshop' at this conference as well. We hope this workshop will be of assistance to students and young researchers.
