[Th-A1-B-03]Spin-orbit splitting in monolayer MoS2: bare value and many-body enhancement

Magnetotransport measurements in hBN-encapsulated MoS2 reveal that the conduction-band spin-orbit splitting is larger than predicted by standard DFT. The discrepancy is resolved by combining DFT+U+V, which corrects band-edge hybridisation, with many-body exchange effects that further enhance the splitting.
