[Th-A1-D-02] Parametric resonance and phase-sensitive force detection in carbon nanotube nanomechanical devices

Using fast measurements of a vibrating carbon nanotube, we distinguish directly-driven and parametric modes. By operating the device as an oscillator, we demonstrate phase-sensitive transduction of small forces to electrical signals. These experiments offer a route to ultrasensitive measurements of weak external forces.
