Coherent control of charged exciton QDs enables deterministic emission of vacuum–one-photon qubits with spin-tunable photon-number coherence, without affecting emission rates. Self-homodyne measurements demonstrate full coherence control, highlighting semiconductor QDs light engineering properties for advanced information processing.
