[Tu-A2-B-02]Light upconversion via resonant exciton-exciton annihilation in few-layer transition metal dichalcogenides

We discover efficient light upconversion in few-layer 2D semiconductors where pairs of hidden dark excitons combine to emit higher-energy light. This tunable process spanning green to ultraviolet could boost future optoelectronic energy technologies and photocatalysis through novel exciton interactions.
