[Tu-A2-C-01]Photonic-Crystal Beam Converters Enabled by Non-Hermitian and Hermitian Coupling Control

We demonstrate a photonic-crystal beam converter based on the control of Hermitian and non-Hermitian couplings. A normally incident Gaussian beam from free space is efficiently coupled into in-plane propagating waves, and is subsequently emitted outwards with a modified far-field radiation pattern.
