We study Hall field induced resistance oscillations (HIROs) in 2D electron gases with randomly distributed artificial obstacles. These scatterers alter the HIRO period and amplitude. Swiss-cross-shaped obstacles exploit retroreflection, significantly enhancing the backscattering rate and therefore the HIRO amplitude.
