[Tu-P1-D-05]Geometric phase mapping from photon polarization to electron spin via two-pulse interference

We propose a scheme to coherently transfer the geometric phase associated with photon polarization to an electron spin state in a semiconductor. Two optical pulses excite the electron spin, and the geometric phase between the pulses is mapped onto the phase of the electron spin state.
