[Tu-P2-D-04]Ultrafast Dynamics of the Inverse Orbital Hall Effect in Gallium Nitride Studied by Polarization-Resolved Terahertz Spectroscopy

Orbital angular momentum (OAM)-to-charge current conversion in GaN was studied by bulk-sensitive polarization-resolved THz spectroscopy with OAM injection by circularly polarized pump. The signal’s pump-energy dependence compared with a microscopic theory confirmed its orbital origin, revealing a subpicosecond lifetime of OAM polarization.
