[We-P-32]Momentum Alignment of Photoexcited Carriers and Optical Valley Separation in Two-Dimensional Dirac Materials

We propose optical control of the valley degree of freedom in graphene and related materials using linearly polarized light. Momentum alignment and spectral anisotropy enable valley separation, while related effects in nanocarbons suggest new tunable sources of coherent terahertz radiation.
