[We-P-40]A Band-Theoretical Framework for Moiré Quasi-Periodic System: Quasi-Bands and Quasi-Brillouin Zone

We study electronic states in moiré quasi-periodic systems lacking translational symmetry. Using an incommensurate double-chain model, we show that the electronic spectrum can be decomposed into quasi-bands defined over quasi-Brillouin zones. This provides a band-like description beyond periodic crystals.
