In a partly oxidized Al/Fe heterostructure, highly efficient spin-to-charge conversion was observed using spin pumping at room temperature. The spin Hall angle reached 0.1, which rivals heavy metals, suggesting the potential for low-cost spintronic devices based on light elements.
