Abstract: Join the IPS Sound Committee as they share insights into their work and the goals driving their current initiatives. As domes renovate existing loudspeaker systems or build new ones, spatial audio has become an essential component. However, the industry still lacks standardized guidance on how to design, configure, commission, and create content for these unique environments. The IPS Sound Committee brings together experts from immersive dome audio, giant-screen sound, and music production. Their mission is to develop practical recommendations and communication frameworks that help dome operators and content creators navigate the technical and creative challenges of producing immersive audio for dome venues.
