The Fuchu Municipal Museum KYODONOMORI is a comprehensive museum that deals with the history, culture, and nature of Fuchu. Fuchu has been inhabited for 35,000 years and has flourished as the center of the region long before Tokyo (Edo). It is a city where traditional culture remains strong, with shrines and festivals that have continued for over 1,000 years. In addition to the main museum building, which houses permanent exhibitions and a planetarium, the museum also functions as an open air museum, with ruins discovered in the city relocated and reconstructed on its extensive grounds, and the old Fuchu streetscape recreated. In addition, there are many companies related to universe in Fuchu, and the word Fuchu contains Uchu, so we are working under the slogan " Fuchu has an Uchu(universe) ". We value that our staff provide live commentary on the stars. We make our own original programs every season, and we try to include topics related to our local Fuchu in those programs. We also add originality to our programs by using button-based quizzes and surveys to encourage interactive interaction. Furthermore, we are not limited to the field of astronomy, but also use the permanent exhibition room to introduce the history of Fuchu and hold relaxation programs that show the plants in the garden. In this presentation, we will introduce our previous attempts at the planetarium and the reaction from visitors.
