NSF NOIRLab is maintaining a comprehensive Fulldome Video Archive designed as a free and open resource for the global planetarium community. This extensive collection provides access to a growing library of high-quality, immersive astronomical content ready for dome presentation.
The archive includes complete fulldome shows such as Messengers of Time and Space, One Sky, and Big Astronomy, along with breathtaking visualizations of celestial phenomena and hundreds of high-resolution clips featuring telescopes, instruments, and observatories in Arizona, Hawai'i, and Chile.
By making this content freely available, NOIRLab aims to empower planetariums, educators, and science centers worldwide to enrich their programming, reduce production barriers, and engage audiences with authentic, scientifically grounded visualizations of the Universe.
This session will introduce the archive, demonstrate available materials, and explore how these open-access resources can be integrated into planetarium workflows to create more impactful and inspiring dome experiences.
