Nodal live-action cinematography is one of the most powerful – yet often misunderstood – techniques in fulldome production. In this 45-minute hands-on workshop, multi-award-winning director and immersive cinematographer Sébastien Gauthier will demystify the nodal method and demonstrate live how to configure, align, and shoot using a panoramic nodal setup. Participants will learn how to determine the no-parallax point for fulldome capture, starting with a horizontal nodal rig and then extending to a combined horizontal-and-vertical configuration for full spherical acquisition.
