Bear activity has recently increased in certain regions of Japan, and safety advisories have been issued in some areas. Kyushu, a large island in southwestern Japan, is home to Nagasaki on its western side. Please be assured that there are no bears anywhere in Kyushu, so you can enjoy your stay with peace of mind. Nagasaki is safe.

On Wednesday, December 3, from 16:30 to 18:00, ISS and Nagasaki Prefecture will jointly host an outreach event for local high school students. The theme is:
“Quantum, Superconductivity, and Shaping the Near Future Together.”As part of this event, from 16:30 to 17:00, groups of high school students will visit the company exhibition booths. We kindly ask for your cooperation in welcoming these students, especially those interested in superconductivity.
