Kutnohorite has a dolomite-type crystal structure and has two cation octahedral sites. The degree of ordering of the cation arrangement is determined from the site occupancy of two cations. The lattice parameters and the arrangement of the CO3 plane triangle change depending on the degree of ordering. Single crystal X-ray diffraction experiments and crystallographic orientation analysis were carried out to investigate the crystal structure on crystal morphology in Kutnohorite.
