Cesium-rich microparticles, which were released from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP) in March 2011, have high radioactivity per unit mass and contribute to Cs radioactivity in ambient environment near the FDNPP; however, little is known about the amount and distribution of CsMPs in the environment. The present study has developed new method to quantify CsMPs.
