Major and trace element analysis and Sr isotope analysis were conducted on andalusite-bearing two-mica granite intruded into the Suo metamorphic rocks in the Asakura area, eastern North Kyusyu. This granite is characterized by peraluminous compositions. The chemical compositions and Sr isotopic ratios of this granite suggest that this granite magma was produced by melting of Cretaceous tonalite - granodiorite.
